Questions & Answers
Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA) cards for PT?
Absolutely! We cannot think of a better way to spend your HSA money. Take care of your body so you can get back to doing what you want or need to do!
Can my PT bill be submitted as a claim to insurance?
Yes, "superbills" are provided for you to submit as a claim to your insurance company. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be reimbursed for some of the cost.
Do I need a referral or prescription from an MD to come see AJ Physical Therapy & Performance?
State of Tennessee is a direct access state for physical therapy, which means no medical prescription is needed. So don't hesitate to get started!
What is Performance Physical Therapy?
Performance physical therapy is a hybrid training model which allows us to treat you as a whole person in any way you need. We are cash based which eliminates all insurance restrictions on the amount or type of care you may require. Through our performance PT model we will get you out of pain and help you stay that way long term. We believe at our core that movement is the best medicine so we will take an active approach to your treatment to keep you active.
What will a session look like?
After your initial evaluation where time will be spent finding the root cause of your problem. your sessions will be spent actually addressing this root problem and helping to fix it through exercise, education and manual techniques.
What's our working hours?
We are open M-F from 7AM to 7 PM

I started seeing Jeremy due to severe pain in my left shoulder and hip and hip flexor pain that hurt to walk most days. As a triathlete I needed answers and help quickly with a race in under 3 months. He got me to race day and continued to look and tweak things as we worked together to correct and prevent future issues. I had the pleasure of working with Jeremy on a shoulder injury and customizing a strategy to improve overall flexibility. He spent time explaining what was happening with my problem areas (shoulders and hamstrings), progressively alleviated pain with notable results over the course of a few sessions, and demonstrated exercises to build muscle strength to prevent injuries in the future.
